Amanda Serumaga is the UNDP Resident Representative for the Mauritius and Seychelles Country Office. Amanda has worked for more than 25 years in the development field working in areas such as public policy and public financial management, governance, and the rule of law. She has been the UNDP Resident Representative for Mauritius and Seychelles since May 2019. From 2008 to 2019 she previously served in Khartoum, Sudan; Juba, South Sudan; New York, USA; and Nairobi, Kenya. She holds Juris Doctor (Osgoode, Canada); an MSc in Public Policy Management (SOAS, London), Honours BA in the Humanities and English Language and Literature (York University, Canada).
She is a Barrister and Solicitor and has been a member of the Law Society of Ontario since 1996.
Fatuma Musa was appointed as the International Operations Manager for UNDP Mauritius and Seychelles in 29 October 2021. She leads the Operations Team encompassing procurement, finance, human resources, logistics, facilities management and security, towards smooth and safe operation of UNDP programming in Mauritius and Seychelles.
Fatuma is a seasoned Operations Management professional with over 15 years of experience having worked with various UN agencies, mostly in a post-conflict context and SIDS, including UN Women Papua New Guinea as Operations Manager, UNDP in South Sudan as the Operations Specialist for the Community Security and Arms Control (CSAC) Project, UNDP Somalia while on detail assignment, UN Department for Safety and Security (UNDSS) in Somalia as Administrative Officer, and ILO Somalia
Fatuma, a Kenyan National, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) majoring in Human Resources from the University of Nairobi.
Jean Lindsay Azie serves as the Team Leader for the Environment portfolio and SESP Manager for the Mauritius and Seychelles multi-country office.
He has more than twenty years of progressive work experience in technical and managerial capacities at the national level (Mauritius and Rodrigues) with a combination of international experiences. He has hands-on experience in design, monitoring, evaluation and implementation of development projects in the areas of environmental protection and natural resource management, renewable energy and climate action, and disaster risk management.
Jean Lindsay was previously the Project Manager of the EU-funded E€OFISH project and worked on the GEF-funded Protected Areas Management Project implemented by the UNDP Mauritius and Seychelles multi-country office
Jean Lindsay holds a Master’s degree in Water Science and Engineering with a specialisation in Hydraulic Engineering, Coastal Engineering and Port Development. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Environmental Engineering.
In her role, Renooka Beejan contributes to strategic planning and is responsible for the socio-economic development programme formulation and implementation as well as partnership engagement. Renooka previously served as Programme Assistant as from August 2008.
Prior to joining UNDP, Renooka was working as Business Consultant (November 2004-July 2008) where she was involved in financial studies such as Feasibility Studies, Cash Flow Modeling and Business Plans amongst others
Renooka holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University, Canada and a Master in Business Administration from Southern Queensland University, Australia. She speaks English, French and is conversant in Hindi
Muhhummud Sameer Khudaroo serves the UNDP Mauritius & Seychelles multi-country office as Finance Associate since July 2020. Under the guidance and direct supervision of the International Operations Manager, Mr. Khudaroo provides leadership in execution of financial services, ensuring effective and transparent utilisation of financial resources and integrity of financial services.
Sameer has over 18 years of work experience in management and finance, including 10 years working at UNDP. Prior to his appointment as finance associate, he has been Programme Assistant for the Environment Unit in Mauritius.
He holds a Master of Business Administration with Specialisation in Project Management from the Open University of Mauritius and a Degree in Management from the University of Mauritius.
